Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles in the way he's known to the pop world, is a British singing and composing. Harry Styles belongs to the group One Direction. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where he created his own musical band with 3 classmates. The band was named the White Eskimo. After they won the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to a stellar performance, they also participated in 2010. While he's always interested in music, he was also interested in becoming an lawyer or physiotherapist. For a while he worked part-time in a bakery within his town to help economically at home. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) at the auditions of 2010 for The X Factor. This is why his band broke up. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the band to be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. The group sang The Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would be Sucking Without You together with Bonnie Tyler Total Eclipse of the Heart. As a result, they made it to the finalists. They came third, behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell didn't win the competition. But Cowell provided Harry Styles a 2 million pounds contract with Syco.
